I remember my father telling me the bread factory was in that building on corner of Florida and the interstate. Was it pink at one time in the mid 90s?

I live in MO now and I saw they carry Bunny here. It says this stuff is made in Evansville, IN.

I take it bunny bread is not a BR product and my old man was full of crap back in the day.

Anybody got the yeast (scoop lol)?

Holsum was made on Choctaw, Sunbeam was on Florida. I guess they also make Bunny now.

I don't think it was ever headquartered in BR. Just a local bakery and distribution location

Yep. If you eat white bread, it's probably just Flowers Foods' bread.

Bunny
Roman Meal
Whitewheat
Nature's Own
Wonder
Sunbeam

And they have local and regional brands, too, that are Flowers Foods bread. Evangeline Maid bakery? That's what the sign and the big spinning loaf of bread say, but that's just a Flowers Foods bakery.

They have bakeries everywhere.

EDIT: Come to think of it, the Evangeline Maid bakery is in the hood, too. Is that just where you're supposed to put bread bakeries?

Sunbeam or Holsums logo back in the sixties was "80 miles fresher". Bunny was trucked in from New Orleans.

Yeah I seem to recall going on a field trip to a bunny bread factory in the 1980s in Nola.

Holsom Bread used to be made off Choctaw. The Flowers bakery on Florida still makes Sunbeam and Bunny bread.

I used to work downtown and would pass it everyday, loved the smell. Would always make me hungry.

And if you are old enough, you probably went on a class field trip to those places. It was fun as a kid seeing that.
