Mulkey and Nicholls coach are friends, and it sounds like Mulkey promised some of the Baylor players when she was recruiting them to play in Louisiana so they could play in front of their family and friends.

ArticleThe Bears were scheduled to play in a tournament in NOLA during the week but that was cancelled. Kim added the Nicholls game to make up for that. She schedules games regularly with teams near where her out of state players are from. They flew in yesterday and practiced at Destrehan where Fr Moon Ursin is from. They were at the Saints game today.

Also don't forget Mulkey is from Hammond, so she also gets to go home for the holidays as well.

Walked out of the Dome and down a part of Poydras with Baylor's girls team. We asked if they were playing Tulane, and that is when we were shocked to hear them say Nicholls.

Nicholls may keep it somewhat close. Baylor has two starters who aren’t going to play tonight resting minor injuries. Look for the Bears to use 4 guards and a post much of the night.

Very sloppy game for Baylor. Season high turnovers and just plain uninspired play. Good thing is everyone played a good bit. Classy move by Kim starting Ursin tonight; she had a huge group of family and friends from Destrehan there to watch.
