Commando

Arnold kills the guy on the plane as it takes off and able to escape. He goes through the whole movie and makes his own way to the island before the dead guy is discovered. How long was that original flight??? 4 layovers??

Speaking of Commando...and we all love action movie absurdities but this movie is choke full of them...

The lamest thing is his fall that no human would ever survive from the plane on take-off...because he hits some wetland - he's cool? He just gets up and takes off his jacket and checks his watch. He falls about a mile.

If you remember that quote roughly off the top of your head...you might have seen that movie too many times.

Statement withdrawn based on one line of script but not based on any invasion money shot.

I always hated that part - but its nowhere near a mile. Its literally right after it leaves the runway behind. So maybe 100-200 yards? At 150 mph? Ain't no one suriving that - not even a T-800. Wait, there's a thought - is Commando really a terminator? It would explain some things in the movie.

In Christmas Vacation why did both sets of grandparents arrive together?

What parade are the grandparents watching? It's not Thanksgiving or Christmas day, but it appears they are watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade

Apparently, Hydra is a better recruiter than Frank Wilson, Jeremy Pruitt and Trooper Taylor combined. Because there must not be a single SHIELD special agent who was approached by Hydra, refused their advances and notified authorities. Nope, Hydra is 100% effective in getting SHIELD agents to flip.
The REC's Charger/Challenger program isn't even that effective

Maybe HYDRA recruited these individuals before they were hired by SHIELD, meaning that HYDRA planted them into SHIELD rather than trying to flip them.

Which speaks even worse of the spy of all spies, Nick Fury.

LINK

It's hard to tell because they jump cut the scene but when he first falls that looks way higher than 100 yards.

Regardless that movie is so over-the-top 80's. The end scene where he kills about 200 people is up there with Rambo taking on the Soviet army in a wide open field...they have attack helicopters and tanks and Rambo has a machine gun and a really big knife.

Why do movies pretend to take place in the winter with fake snow all over but they have green leaves on the trees

Maybe they were evergreen trees

Independence Day

Why did the aliens only target Metropolitan Cities?

We lost a massive portion of our population but not any aspect of our Military and defenses.

Sounds like a terrible battle strategy for a superior life form with advanced tech attempting a world takeover.
The premise behind any alien attacks earth movie is always stupid. If they have the tech and power to get to us we would be gone in a matter of minutes when they attacked.

The flight was 11 hours, non-stop. Aronld asked the stewardess before take-off so he knew exaclty how much time he had before word got out.

How did Arnold get there at the same time after fricking around for half a day?? He spent 11 hours eating green berets for breakfast. And then found a non stop flight for like 45 minutes??

Here is what y'all are missing:

They Bad Guys who kidnapped Arnold's daughter were forcing him ( ) to fly to some other third world country to assassinate the president/leader/whatever so they (The Bad Guys) could take over the country. The Bad Guys were living in exile on an island off the California coast. Arnold/"Matrix" makes his way there to find and rescue his daughter.

My big question about Commando is this:

When Matrix turns Sully's Porsche right side up, one side is bashed to hell and back. But when Matrix and The Girl drive off, the Porsche looks like it just came off the show room floor.

As for Harry Potter, why did Barty Couch Jr sound like Mad Eye Moody the whole movie while drinking poly juice potion. In the other movies when drinking poly juice potion, their voices stay the same.
