Benefits for Signing Early or Waiting?

So, does it make sense for lower or higher rated players to sign early? Players who are concerned with playing early would seem to be better off waiting till the the final signing day.
I'm not really certain to the advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage is for the kids who aren't playing games and are 100% commited to the university. And also for the coaches to know who they can prioritize down the final stretch without having to worry about the ones who already signed.

If you know where you want to go and want to stop being contacted, you sign early, simple as that.
I almost feel bad for all the kids who dont sign early because they will be recruited that much more now that maybe half the market will be gone on early signing day.

Lower rated players should absolutely sign early. It guarantees them a spot and a promise that they won't be pushed out.
The only guys who should really consider waiting are the truly undecided and the top 100 guys who want to leverage the best short-term position for themselves.
I expect 80% or more of the committed players for every team to sign early, pretty much across the board.

I would think it helps the higher rated guys that are tired of the recruiting game and helps the lower rated guys because they get a spot in the class

You’re pretty safe on the RB as long as it’s not an asinine or repetitive question

I believe if you are a sought after High School Athlete, you'd be cheating yourself of College Visits College Fun and Free meals and 5 star seats to great games
I'd tell my son to tell me who he was going to commit to, and list the reasons why
Then enjoy the free wine and dine trips!
