A few quick questions about Trijicon RMR

Does this mount to the rear sight bevel on a Springfield xdm? What is the comparison like to the Vortex Optic sight? Also, is it worth the money?

Which XDM do you have? If you have the OSP it will mount to the slide. If not then you have to get your slide milled to accept the RMR or Vortex.
Most everything Trijicon makes is worth the money, but it's usually expensive so it's up to you if it's worth the money. I had a hard time getting accurate and fast shooting a reflex on my G17. It was frustrating spending all that money on a slide and sight when I was better with iron sights. I am just now to the point where I'm just a good with a reflex as I am with irons. Looking back was it worth it? Probably not for me.

I have an RMR and I really like it. I have one on a FNX Tactical .45ACP. My slide has a cut out that the RMR fits into recessed. There are different plate templates for the RMR if I remember correctly to accommodate different platforms. It can cowitness with the iron sights also.
As far as zero and accuracy: Mine has always held zero from day one. I have no regrets on buying it.

Absolutely. The thing is bulletproof. While the price tag is a good bit higher for the RMR, it's worth it for the robustness, accuracy, and to set-it-and-forget-it.

I've had two different RMRs on my M&P core and have the same experience - adjusted it once and never again.
