Steve Scalise would trounce JBE.

I know he is in a powerful position in DC but we really need a good republican to run against the leftist trial lawyer John Bel Edwards.

Scalise would beat him 30 points.

No. Scalise is Majority Whip in the US House of Representatives. It's feasible for him to one day be Speaker of the House. He needs to remain in the federal government. Worth more to Louisiana in Washington DC instead of Baton Rouge.

Every reply has some legitimacy HOWEVER who would rather be governor among the mentioned names than Steve Scalise????

Let him decide.

We need a man with integrity. If he will take the job we should give it to him.

Having a vote in Congress >> being governor.

In which world? The governor can have the Congressman arrested.

However, Scalise is in House Leadership. So he has a more important job for the state on the whole.

We have a complete pice of crap in the Governor's mansion that has no concept of money or a budget that is driving this state into the ground and constantly stealing our hard earned money with nothing to show for it.

I want to get the closest thing we have to a complete slam dunk to unite the GOP and conservatives around one candidate, make sure we discourage ankle biters away from the race like Dardenne/Angelle attacking the front runner and make sure JBE cannot get enough of those same republicans again that got snowed so hard by forcing him to defend his liberal tax and spend record in this state.

Louisiana needs Steve Scalise home more than it needs him in DC.
