Do we call Jacob Eason first thing tomorrow after Fields goes UGA?

Does it make sense to call Eason up and tell him come on over? Can't remember how the transfer rules work - if he transferred to an SEC school, can he play immediately or does he have to sit for a season?

Can he graduate in the spring, and then transfer to an SEC school where he is eligible immediately?

The next #Mettenberger?

Yes we should commit an NCAA violation and call up a current player of UGA and beg him to come here.

First, if he did transfer, I doubt Georgia would let him go anywhere in the SEC or a school they play in a certain number of years, which we fall under. Second, if he transfers, he sits out regardless.

Unless he is some genius and entered school with a number of college credits, I highly doubt he is close to graduating

Yeah man, I meant literally call him on the same day that the team is playing in Gainesville and that they play Vandy.

You think he would answer during halftime? Maybe give him a ring around 1:30/2:00PM EST?

What would the first question be, you think? "Hey Jacob, how's it going watching the true freshmen pound on that team from the sidelines?".

Not sure if that sounds beggy enough though

Not sure what major you think the vast majority of college football student athletes are taking, but when you are on campus year round for two straight years, graduating early isn't that unbelievable.

Eason, IF he transfers he would probably go to Miami with the coach he went to UGA for. If that is not possible he is from Washington and if he doesn't go home he flirted with ND out of high School.

"Can't remember" implies you once knew them.

Doesn't seem like you ever had a grasp on them in the first place.

Really, so how many 2 year college football Division I graduates can you name then if it's not so unbelievable? It's extremely rare for someone to graduate in 3 years who plays football full time, most who graduate early do it in 3.5 years after enrolling, because they enrolled early.

He is not close to graduating.

And in case you still dont get it, no one can contact Eason until 1 he requests a transfer and 2 it's approved by his school being released and neither of those have happened yet.

If he wants to stay in the SEC, he will have to go the JUCO route for a season. He'll be a redshift junior when he signs again. I would take him in a heartbeat.

The question is... Why would he come to this dumpster fire?

Brennan will be an incumbent true Junior at that time... why would he want to come to a school who already has a starter that he'd have to come in and beat out, while being so far behind in the hearts and minds of fans, as well as the playbook...

if he was available to play next year, maybe... but 2 years from now, once Brennan has the starting spot locked down for over a year? can't see it at all...

How are you so sure Brennan will live up to the hype?

I think Eason will likely go to a non-SEC school, if he decides to transfer.

If he does not play any more this season, wouldn't he be a sophomore whether he goes the JUCO route next season, or sits out next season as a transfer?
