These could be the cornerbacks we been waiting years for guys.

Yep. PJ Williams & Breaux aren't too shabby to have as backups either. Looks like our CB situation might finally be a strength for us...both now & in the future. They're all young, just need to stay healthy.

If Breaux comes back 100% & assumes a backup role...we should be able to re-sign him at a bargain price(not sure if he's a RFA or not). Lattimore, Crawley, & PJ Williams are all under contract for 2018.

Breaux is a RFA next year. If the injuries don't put us off of him we'll likely use the second round tender on him.

And the think it only took him until his 8th season/4th team.

But he's on track for roughly the same stats he had in 2011 and 2012 before he regressed (because he was still scared/not right coming off of his 2013 injury).

I don't think he's going to want to re sign at a bargain price as a backup after the shitshow during the preseason....

even though he missed the first two games of the Saints

So he missed a Vikings team that was on fire (with a very good but fragile QB) and Tommy terrific? I guess he does look good in comparison........

Not exactly apples to apples.

To add to that, this isn't PFF's old system where the extra games are important with cumulative scoring over the season.

The new system is an average of your grade out of 100. Missing games against good QBs/offenses (or games with decent QBs but your DC plays some awful zone scheme) is usually beneficial.

I KNOW right, a UDFA who was literally thrown into the fire last season and showed promise can actually get better?? It's a mind blowing concept for Saintards around here DRIVEMAN OUT

He was one of the worst rated corners in the entire league last year. This is significant

When Breaux isn't trying to come off an injury he can be really good. I think he's still starter worthy. Crawley/Williams will still almost always still be "starting" regardless considering how much nickel everyone plays these days.
