Didn’t Saban take emotion out of the aspect as far as trying to do what needs to be done to be successful on a consistent basis when he was at LSU?

Players have to generate their own emotion. Coaches facilitate that by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to perform their job at a high level. But no coach can give emotion to player. Orgeron seems to think he can.
If players took on Saban's identity they probably couldn't get out of bed in the morning. They're motivated because they know they're better than everyone else. That comes from being prepared to be great.

Why would any team have to have their shite kicked in before deciding they need to play with emotion? It’s football if you don’t want to play with emotion just don’t play at all.
