BJ's is terrible. Do they even put sauce on their pizza?

There are no legit deep dish pizzas in BR. Best in the area is That's Amore in Metairie.

I don't think you can find a good deep dish pizza in the south at all. I'm really not a huge fan of deep dish but after having the real stuff in Chicago I don't think anything here could compare. We have really good pizza here but deep dish is a different ball game.. A slice is like a meal in the deep dish game.

I had BJ's deep dish meat lover's last month for the first time
It was not that bad, surprisingly... so I will second this...

Wife always gets a Peanut Butter Pizzookie

It's getting better. Florida has several options, including Giordinos. SC got a Pizzeria Uno, there are several Rosatis in the Southeast (including couple in Atlanta).

I'm sure they vary from good Chicago pizza, but it beats mail order

No. BJ's says they're deep dish. They're fricking liars. That pizza is a pan pizza. The crust on the bottom is just this mass of bread. It's terrible.

We do NOT have deep dish pizza in BR.. I think people would love it but most have not had authentic chicago style deep dish.

Grimaldi's at Mall of Louisiana is your best bet. While not as good as authentic, it's close enough to satisfy a craving.

im surprised how good it is being they turned into a franchised chain, but man they are fricking expensive.

I just got back from italy and i didnt pay over 10-12 euro for a pizza there.
