I’m trying to decide on a specific driver shaft and at the moment determine if the 64g or 73g shaft is ideal. Swing speed is ~106...Carry distance is ~250-255 on the monitor.

Any other thoughts. The results from both were similar.

Heavier shaft has an effect on the center of gravity which may lower ball flight and spin and I don't really know what I'm talking about.

I just did a driver fitting. Apparently the shaft I had was really light. Going to a heavier shaft with the same stiffness allowed me increase my spin and to carry about 15-20 yards further on average. Overall distance was about the same and accuracy improved.

I tried several different shafts as weight distribution can be different as well before I found the most optimal one for me.

I kept my original head as trying different ones really didn't improve a whole lot.

Usually the heavier shafts will have a "stiffer profile". The CPMs may say stiff, but the heavier shaft will usually have a higher kick point and lower torque.

Lighter =/= longer.

Correct, I knew this...I'm just trying to decipher any other things I'm missing.
