I'm going to take a wild guess and say that whatever Fox is paying him is subtracted from the buyout, which probably isn't that much.

No, its just reduced by whatever amount Fox Sports is paying him. Miles is guaranteed his salary at LSU, regardless of who is paying it.

I'm sure Miles gave them a pretty good discount to get his foot in the door. Based on the one game I watched, he has no shot at doing it long term.
Probably reduced slightly his buyout.

at the time we were 34-5 the previous 3 seasons with an SEC title and NC game appearance. I don't blame Joe for extending him at that point.
