We spent about 3 hours in Kotor and an hour near Prerast on a day trip from Dubrovnik. Entire van rental with the driver/guide was $350 Euros. I have the driver's name if anyone needs a tour guide/van ride for day trips to Mostar or Kotor out of Dubrovnik.

First photo is of Mariner's Church built on piled rocks in the middle of the Bay of Kotor (a fjord). Rest are of Kotor and then Prerast.

Cool. Is it better to do the photos journals by the city in Croatia (I did one just for Dubrovnik) or lump all other 5 Croatian cities on one long post? Some guy did or is in process of doing Hvar, Stari Grad, and Split review/photos in one long Croatia journal but I have different photos of those same places, plus ones from Vis and Trogir.

You can put them in a single post, but if you can do 1 city in the OP and reply to it for the 2nd city, then reply to that with the 3rd city....so on.

I wish we could have fit Montenegro into our trip, I had come across Kotor last minute after we had too much planned to reverse. Enjoyed looking at your pictures.

Sorry about the "some guy" moniker I gave you, Mark Makers. You have a lot of great photos and reviews in your post.

What was your favorite part of Croatia? I have to say that Vis was our favorite spot. It was not crowded, we got to tour a lot of the island, its beaches, and caves by boat, and we had one of our best meals there.

No worries

Tough call on the favorite part, I really loved all of that country. If I went back, I would have a tough time choosing where I wanted to spend my time. My least favorite may have been Dubrovnik, only because it was the most crowded/touristy. I feel like I saw what I needed to see there and would be fine skipping it next time.

If I only had to pick one place right now, I'd probably choose Pag Island. The drive over to Pag Island was stunning and the small, secluded beach we stumbled upon there was unreal. I would have loved to have had more time there.
