I'm planning to go to the Saints game in Charlotte and was looking for recommendations for where to eat and drink Saturday and Sunday night in Charlotte...or just a great place to hang out.

I'll also have a day and night in Asheville on Tuesday and head home on Wednesday. Suggestions for must eats or drinks, breweries etc. there. I'm willing to eat about five meals a day to take in as much as I can in a brief period of time.

Any notable hikes between Charlotte and Asheville or within two hours of either, I don't mind driving. Thanks.

New Belgium has a place in Asheville now if you make it up there. I've toured to plant in Ft Collins and it was pretty cool.

No need to go to Asheville...Charlotte has 30+ breweries in the metro area. Brewery List As for restaurants, there's a crap ton now all over the place, lots with affiliations with the breweries. Yelp it.

Charlotte:

Go to OMB for food, atmosphere, decent German beers. Huge Biergarten. Sugar Creek brewery is walking distance from there. Go to NODA brewery for beers. For a good beer bar, Duckworths is a local place with a great selection of both local and national craft beers.

Some of the best barbecue I have ever eaten was at a place in Concorde called, "The Smoke Pit." Be prepared to wait in line.

It's off topic , but if your health allows, you need to go white water rafting with a guide somewhere near Asheville.

It is one of the best times I have ever had in my life.

Seconded, I loved Buxton Hall. Was recommended on the Asheville subreddit. Short walk from every well-regarded downtown brewery.
