A group of 4 of us are going to Top Golf in Houston the night before LSU/BYU. None of us have ever been to a Top Golf. Has anyone here been to one? How much does it typically run and do I need to reserve a spot or pay anything before we show up?

Reserving a spot is probably a must on any weekend. Top Golf is usually super super packed on weekends...and most weekdays too.

If it's like the one in Tampa, reserving a spot cost $50 I'm pretty sure.

Usually around $40/hour per bay during peak times.

But I'd rather ask all of my closest friends on here that always give the most sound advice collectively.

Hourly Bay Rates: When you arrive at the venue, you will still need to pay for game play (the cost is per bay, not per person and is $25/hour: open - noon, $35/hour: noon - 5pm and $45/hour: 5pm - close). New guests will also need to purchase a Lifetime Membership for $5.

Reservation Fee: Price does not include game play. Reservation fee ranges from FREE to $50 depending on day of week and time of day.

For the first time ever, you can now reserve your very own bay online for select Topgolf venues. This new, simplified process allows you to play when you want, with whoever you want. Bays will of course still be available for walk-in Guests, and we're always happy to help you book an event for groups larger than 6 players.

You do need to reserve a spot, not sure if you can call in. Also you will need to set up a membership card so you can prepay it for the games. (You get a fancy title if you show them a military ID but that's about it). I'd say prepay with $100 for days you may use it down the road, $40 if only for the day. I'd ask your buds to split the costs for the games to get more play time in for the duration of the game.

It's fun as frick though, you will have a great time if you manage to get a table.

There are 3 in Houston area so figure out what one is closest to you. It will cost you at least 100 for an hour with food, drinks, golf.

There are 3 in the Houston area. I haven't been on weekends but I believe it's $45/hour for a bay and you'll probably want at least 2-3 hours. I know they advertise it as a party on weekends (DJ, etc.), which may be focused on the 3rd floor(?).

It's a great setup, my only complaint is that the built-in tees are so short and difficult to use my driver.

If you go early enough on Friday (6-7pm) you should be able to grab a bay right away. Get a 3rd floor bay with a good waitress and you'll have a good time. Stay 2 hrs max then hit up the bars.

go with the pre-paid members club option if you are serious about getting a reservation. you WILL NOT be able to just show up and start swinging at any of the 3 locations. They are jam packed every single hour on the weekends.

that or send someone 2-3 hours ahead of time to make a reservation and chill at the bar in the meantime.

Yeah, I usually bring my own clubs. When I've taken the time to look around, it seems like most people do also. Although I've gone before without clubs.

I usually go on Sundays with my son and he brings his own since he's a lefty so I bring mine also. Only $25/hour before noon although they apparently removed the Bloody Mary bar. I used to pile up that bacon and other stuff in my drink for a good 'breakfast' to start the day.

I went on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago to the Katy location. We got there around 3pm. We did not have to wait for a bay, and if im not mistaken it was somewhere between $25-$35 an hour. If yall plan to go Friday AFTER 5pm, it will probably be a lot more busy since everyone will be off of work by then.
