Vallone's steakhouse in Gateway Memorial shopping center. All summer they've offered 50% off all wine bottles on Wednesday nights. I imagine it will continue. Kuu sushi around the corner has excellent fish and often a good bar crowd. The original Lupe Tortilla is 3 exits west on I-10 and Highway 6. Hard to beat margaritas and beef fajitas in their bar area. Eddie V's at CityCentre is a small chain but there's always something going on in their lounge.

General Public, in Citycentre has a great happy hour. Any drink on menu, $4 from 4-5, $5 from 5-6, $6 from 6-7, and $5 burgers.

You could go to Perry's by the memorial mall and get an awesome pork chop.

State Fare
The Tasting Room in City centre should be full of 30-40 year old women drinking wine. If not, head to the one in Post Oak Park.
