What exactly is wrong with this structure?

If it had to, could it host a basketball game(s)? Like could we temporarily use it if we ever decided to build a new arena?

I know the arena now has a different purpose, but it seems like it could still be used for a basketball/gym/volleyball facility in a pinch if we ever needed it.

Personally, I don't think it gets enough use. It's a cool arse building.

Not that it's been sold out for a while, but PMAC doubles Parker in regards to seating.

Yeah I read where at its peak it used to hold 12K, but now it only holds like 6500.

I know it wouldn't be ideal. I was just wondering if it was even a backup option if we needed to play there, or would we rent out the river center or something.

I don't think it has air conditioning. I'd rather use the River Center

Yah, I think it can hold around 9-10K for basketball. I wish we'd build a new arena. The PMAC sucks and its ugly as hell.

I like the building too. I pitched the idea at a master plan meeting and was quickly shot down.

LSU wants the athletic buildings to be in one central location of campus.

It doesn't have air conditioning. It used to be miserable and I remember being there one time where a bird vented its cloaca right over midcourt.

Nasty. It's better suited for rodeo events and livestock shows, etc.

It was the basketball arena when I was a student.
