Anyone have recs on a overnight (2 nights) charter out to the Chandeleur islands? Looking for a group of about 8-10. Found Due South Charters and Chandeleur Charters but don't know anything about either.

I've been out with Due South four times and have my next trip with them this October. I highly recommend their operation but will give you fair warning...weekends get booked a year in advance. The crew always works their butts off to make sure you stay well-fed and skiffs are always in great condition. An additional perk is they leave from the Golden Nugget dock at Midnight.

Did a Thurs.- Sun. trip to north Chandeleur back in the early 90s. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Such a varied array of fishing opportunities there.

Everything you've said here is 100% true. My only beef with the Captain and Deckhand was that they didn't do a great job at giving you tips on where to start, areas to fish. They kinda just blindly point in different directions and say "I don't know, maybe over there?" Considering the islands are unfamiliar to most of us, a little more guidance would have been cool. Not looking for them to take the fish off the hook. Just areas to key in on/best practices.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with them again. As far as our results, we got shite on because the amount of freshwater coming out of the River.

Check out Joka's Wild... I think he runs out of Biloxi or Ocean Springs. He's one of those guys that's always willing to go the extra mile. Good luck!
