no, actually I got it from a link on Superhero Hype website.

To me this about what's best for the IP. Fox has treated this as second tier property even compared to fricking Gambit and Deadpool(which the latter to be fair has skyrocketed since the rights were acquired)

This booked really launched Marvel in a lot of ways. It would work better in a shared universe, in particular the Marvel Universe.

MCU Characters(or the rights to) that have strong ties to the F4-Ant Man (Scott Lang), Black Panther, the Inhumans, Spider-Man,The Hulk, the Kree(Ronan's people in GotG),etc.

Fox only made this movie to hold onto the rights...if it fails the rights could possibly go back to Marvel.

It's a fascinating story to follow when you take in account how bitter the Fox and Disney/Marvel feud is (Fox is also pissed about Star Wars).

Disney would love to have Marvel's most "Disney-esque" IP the Fantastic Four/Future Foundation

Yeah, it's bull shite. Fantastic 4 should be a Marvel and not Fox property. Fox can keep X-Men, since even in the comics, I have a problem that the X-Men and the rest of the Marvel universe occupy the same realm of existence.

X-Men is just ridiculously different from the rest of Marvel. It makes no sense to me why they're despised but no one gives a shite about Captain America. If anything, the ones who chose or just happened to get into the situation to get their powers should be more despised by the public than people who were literally born with them. If the mutants are in a separate universe, then this isn't a problem, which is why it's a good thing the X-Men are separate from the MCU. It would be just downright bizarre to see movies where mutants continue to be despised, but Iron Man freely just flies around with heavy weaponry and is held accountable by no one.

Fantastic 4 however don't hold this distinction of being universally despised for their powers, and are no different than many of the MCU characters origins. The Fantastic 4 could be great in the MCU, and I'd love to see a competent studio take on Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer, and Galactus. Galactus would be a great "Phase 4" villain for the Avengers after Thanos is defeated, but Fox just churned out a script on a weekend based on whatever shite was cool at the time.

I think the difference with XMen is that their whole "homesuperior" deal. Humans would be naturally scared of a being replaced.

Cap chose to save the world. Their is no guarantee that mutants want to do that.

The X-Men corner is large but not fleshed out, most mutants are mostly defined by their powers. There is about 15 or so that have been written as interesting.

I think a mutant-inhuman war in the MCU with The Avengers and F4 trying to contain it would be fricking awesome and could lead to AvX

I said this several months ago but I'll say it again. I know a few people in this movie and I was told directly from them that almost everyone on the set (including some of the actors) knew this movie was going to suck from the beginning.

which is exactly why I want this movie to fail. Fox has helped make the F4 (who by nature, slacked off some in popularity in the 90s) into a second rate IP.

In this new information/tech age, the F4/Future Foundation could be a top tier franchise..if Marvel had the rights to them.

Trank had a great FF script but then he got drunk and lost it.

Didn't clear 30 million as of now, at something like 26.2 million at a cost of 120 million. Major flop.

Well, in the wake of absolutely horrendous reviews and word of mouth for Fantastic Four, it now appears that producers Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker are attempting to distance the reboot from the mutant superhero series.

“They exist in parallel universes,” Kinberg and Parker have told the New York Daily News. “The Fantastic 4 live in a world without mutants. And the X-Men live in a world without the Fantastic 4. Crossing them over would be challenging but we sure would love to see all those actors together, the way we had them on stage at (San Diego) Comic Con.”

No crossover, as Singer suggested.

Also Kinberg admits he's got no idea on how to adapt this IP:

quote:

I find Fantastic Four a hard book to adapt. I think the tone is very tricky it. It’s deceptively simple. Figuring out the comedy and the drama and the powers themselves are hard to fit into a tone that is as grounded as we wanted to make it. But I’m happy with the way that it turned out. I really love this cast, and I want to keep making movies with them.”

The Fantastic Four are hard to adapt? Marvel just made a hugely succeasful movie about a superhero that shrinks and talks to ants. They had huge success with a movie starring a tree that says one line and a raccoon.

How about Fox just doesn't know how to make comic book movies? They have made a total of three good X-Men movies (X1 & X2 plus First Class) and four bad X movies (both Wolverines, X3, and DoFP). Add in Daredevil, Elektra, plus the now three FF films and Fox is batting .133 with comic book movies.

After guardians of the galaxy and the incredibles I don't want to hear about how hard it is to adapt f4.
