These Thursday-Saturday threads got me thinking about the weekend series before there was a Friday night game. What year did they stop scheduling Saturday doubleheaders and moved to a Fri-Sun format? It was tough to search for.

This sounds like a glorious day! Too bad tv has messed it up. I'm not a fan either of the Thursday rotation.

I remember those days. I am not sure, but I guess it was around 1995.

Yeah it was mid 90's. It may have been 96 when they went to a 30 gane schedule.
