Maybe as some point in the Hulk era but as stated, his powers have continually been ramped up.
Movies aren't canon but by the way, Superman did actually kill once in the comic book and it was Zod from a pocket universe. He regretted it and stated he would never kill again.
Which he didn't. So MOS could still fit the scenario of him killing Zod then NEVER KILLING AGAIN.
He killed in a non canon tie in to a video game but that was after the joker tricked Superman into killing pregnant Lois Lane and her death triggering the nuking of metropolis.
Needless to say he was a bit out of his mind after killing his wife, his unborn son and all inhabitants of Metropolis.

THAT Superman was from an alternate Earth. He also killed Oliver Queen, Billy Batson, and anyone who opposed his rule over the next five years.
