The Gremlin rules are magical in nature, so they don't really have to follow scientific laws. Snow, vapor in the air, ect may not equal water.

The same can be said for "midnight". I prefer to think of it as the midnight relative the the owner, and not bound by timezones. I don't remember if the movie contradicts that. The creatures would be able to safely eat again at dawn.

I wanted a mogwai when I was a little kid.. I would've risked the responsibility of it turning into a murderous creature.

Me neither. It was one of those movies that annoyed me as a kid, but I watched anyway because HBO would play it over and over and over. Though Daniel Clamp was $$$

Always wondered that. Hill valley saw a lot of snow that year.

Gremlins 2 is phenomenal. It's almost an intelligence test, if you can't see the awesomeness of that move you've got problems.

Yet, you obviously like it, and are also a complete fricking moron.

Go figure

The most bewildering part of that movie is when the girl explains why she hates Christmas (the story about her dad getting stuck in a chimney and dying).

Yeah, that part is pretty awesome. I just like how in the second one she starts to break into another story about why she hates President's or Columbus Day and they cut her off.

The sequel is pretty good because it didn't take itself seriously. I think the first one was aiming to be a valid scary movie but it came out as more funny. The sequel just went with hilarious.

Yep, I enjoyed both a good bit for different reasons. It's much like House 1 and 2.

I've got problems just like anybody, but the fact that I hate Gremlins 2 is not one of them.

The real question is how do they survive if they can never eat?

Except for 1 minute out of every 24hrs, it's always after midnight.

That complicates my question even more.
