Auburn is RBU, IMO

Definitely if you only consider top shelf guys. We have more pro running backs than them, but their top five beats our top five by a mile.

Great recruiting advertisement for us
very true! And there's no such thing as bad free press.

Our RB draft success has a lot to do with our pro-style offense IMO. Lots of our RB are excellent blockers and come to the NFL ready to play on 3rd downs.
just as true.

I said on the front page thread that for a long time I thought this was clearly Miami in the bcs era. We seem to be one of the only schools now still churning out top flight talent.

d-line, wr and db's

We would be near the top or at the top of the list in all three categories.

DLINE - 10 drafted in top 3 rounds since 1999. Six of them, first rounders.

WR - 10 drafted in top 3 rounds since 1999. Four of them, first rounders.

DB - 10 drafted in top 3 rounds since 1999. Four of them, first rounders.

It's kinda crazy how good we are at developing these spots. It's just with LB we are average, and QB, we fail hard.

We're talking modern times, not old arse days. Five years ago, ten years ago, fifteen years ago, LSU is better than all. You think kids today care about you sending guys to the NFL 30, 40, 50 years ago?

I like reading the comments and people talking about who the best is all time. Yet they tend to forget this kid named Billy Cannon. LSU would still be way up there. If not still the top spot.

I know sstig, now if you can help me and get a list of all of the other FA running backs that were on a roster at one point, that would be helpful. Justin Vincent was the first one that comes to mind.
