You can own whatever dog you want, just understand that ANY dog can be a safety risk. That breed tends to have an aggressive side hiding underneath all the training. If a chihuahua gets annoyed and bites someone not the end of the world. If a bigger dog does there can be serious problems.

Pitbulls are like guns. Both will always get a bad wrap bc It's easy to focus on the on the obvious risks of having either one.
both guns and pitbulls are perfectly safe if the owner is responsible.
Unfortunately guns and pitbulls are a status symbol and lifestyle for irresponsible people that usually contribute nothing to society. So naturally these type of incidents will occur almost daily.
