Rivers has been a bust since he first stepped on yhe floor and shows very little signs of improvement. While Roberts has been pretty awful, at least he's shown that he CAN hang in the NBA. Rivers can't, period.

Rivers is good at one thing; getting to the rim. He's not good at finishing, shooting, passing. At least Roberts is better than 60% from the free throw line.

Rivers has spurts of being halfway decent and some bonehead plays. He was ranked ahead of AD in the class of 2012 for a reason.....Doc is his dad, he had it harder than other kids growing up, and he can play. Last season he should have been sent to D-league to adjust step by step to NBA speed. Houston done this with Terrence Jones rather than let him sit. Withey should be there now by the way...to adjust. I would play Rivers over Roberts, in the end he will be a better player. He gives 100% effort whether it is making a play or screwing up. Enough for me.

Roberts did average 13/10/3 in 5 games as a starter last season. He has shown he can play in the nba

He is trying to find his role maybe?
Everyone else got a pass for trying to "gel" and "find a role"
Last year he was asked to handle the ball more. This season he has been playing off the ball a lot. Maybe that role isn't for him or maybe it will take time to adjust. Who knows

Will he even be eligible for the D League next year?
