I'm having a lot of trouble finding winchester 30 30 ammo. All academy in Lafayette has is hollowpoint ammo with a picture of Ted Nugent on the box for $45 a box which is a little too high. Anyone know where I can get any around here, or more specifically leverrevolution? Lafayette shooters doesn't have any and I'd rather not have to drive all the way to BR. For that matter no one I called in BR has leverrevolution, including cabela's and bass pro.

I am having a pretty hard time finding it myself. None at Cabelas, Bass Pro, or three Academies. I am just looking for the basic Rem Core-Lokt

Let me clarify that, there was no 30-30 ammo at all in 5 stores

Yeah, I am not too picky either. I'd prefer leverrevolution but don't mind regular ammo as long as it isn't $45 a box. I'm not in BR but you should try Jim's Firearms on Seigen.

I see Federal Deer Thugs at Wal-Mart all the time. Also the Remington Core.

Plenty of Remington Core-Lokt around here but not much else in 30-30. Or 45-70, .270, and .308 for that matter. See a lot more 30-06 but almost all of it is the high priced hunting ammo. My Garand is going to have to continue to be underfed for the foreseeable future...

When I was at Cabelas last, there was no 30-30, 270, 45-70, 30-06, 300mag, 9mm, 10mm, 22, and 5.56

It was very nice to see that someone in the store planned properly for hunting season. I will never be going back there to look for ammo, or anything for that matter since their prices are sky high on everything

I also went to get a basic fabric gun case that day. Cheapest one they had was $39.95

That's because it's an obsolete round.

I had the same problem yesterday. Only one box and it was 40 bucks at academy here in Alabama. I haven't been all over but academy didn't have it.
