Yule log cake

Look, I know this is a christmas cake and I am not looking for one now, but does anyone know a good place in the new orleans area or on the northshore that sells these things during christmas time??

no but my mom makes one every year. makes for some damn strong late night snacking after drinking with the high school buddies while im in town for the holidays.

Which is to say Christmas, as in Yule, Yule log. Not a log, I don't have a log. I mean you know. If I had a log, not in the sense that you think I said I did. Good golly. Tis the season to be merry.

Maple St. Patisserie is where you want to go. They make them, Ziggy will probably even make one for you right now, if you ask.

I'm pretty sure La Madeleine makes them during Christmas time.

Na, I don't want to bother them with it now. But when christmas time comes around, its on!

Haydel's Bakery makes them at Christmas time. They are really good

Maurice, Maple St Patisserie (had one last Dec, was excellent), La Madeline (will sell it by the slice), La Boulangerie on Magazine, Chez Pierre out in Kenner....
