Is he the most annoying kid ever in a movie? His character is just the worst and I can't determine if it's the character or the kid himself.

I doubt I could handle an entire book of that kid.

He's 10x times whinier in the book. It also is one of the most disjointed pieces of literature I've ever read. I hated it.

And I really wanted to be sympathetic. Truly. But I was hoping he's get abducted on the subway or something.

That was such a terrible film. And that kid should never act again. Sorry but it's the truth.

You know it's bad when the only way I could bring myself to enjoy the movie was to assume the kid is autistic (and therefore sympathetic). The movie still made me a weeping mess at the end, though. I'm going to be an emotional wreck when my dad goes

Haven't seen it, but I'd be shocked if he were more annoying than the son in War of the Worlds.

The idea of the movie really is outstanding. The plot and everything really should make for a hell of a movie.

But they ruined it all by giving the kid Asburgers. As if you wouldn't already understand the mental trauma from losing a parent.

It just wasn't needed to sell the audience on the kid's determination for answers.

Nope, Jaden Smith in every movie he's ever made is the most annoying kid ever (especially the Day the Earth Stood Still remake. It might have actually been a decent film if not for him).
