He meant that after every play WRs call for the flag and DBs put both hands up to show they didn't interfere.

RG3 being arrogant again... You would think someone who's had two major leg surgeries already wouldn't want to ask defenses to hit him more

I wish this drew a penalty.

Receivers don't physically exaggerate and hit the ground the way other athletes do upon contact, but the amount of whining they do after just a little bit of contact (or none at all) is soccer-caliber already.

This. They mimic throwing a flag before they've even hit the ground. Hell, I've seen some do it before the BALL even hit the ground. QB's who do this after any hit on them annoy me also.

Only thing worse than that, is refs who make no call, a receiver complains, then a flag is thrown 5-8 seconds afterwards.

Refs need to understand the difference from him vs Tom Brady.

Brady runs to the sideline, he doesn't have potential to turn upfield. So a hit on him should be a penalty. Rg3 and the like can't be considered out of bounds until they are, and need to be on the same level as a RB because they essentially have become one when they cross scrimmage.

Isn't there a rule now that states that once the QB is running outside of the pocket, he is to be considered the same as a RB?

Well the defenders should give him EXACTLY what he wants.

Hit him.

Hit him hard.

Hit him often.

His tune will change.

Technically speaking, this has always been the case. Unless they clearly give themselves up and slide, they are a runner until proven otherwise.

I hope you got a back up. I got a feeling RG3 ain't gonna make the year with these comments. Might wanna pick up his back up. I think it should be a rule, if you fake a move like you were going to keep running then duck out of bounds and the defender already left his feet to hit you , it shouldn't be a penalty.

RG3 needs to worry about completing passes.

That sentiment was misconstrued by some members of the media, which caused Griffin III to address the situation again on Friday morning with Redskins.com.

“Some people think I’m aiming to draw penalties and that’s not what I said,” he explained. “I was asked about the hits on the sideline and the guys not being afraid to take the 15 yards for unnecessary roughness.

“I told them that against the Cowboys, I was just trying to run out of bounds and some guy hit me. Some guys will take that, some guys don’t really care. It’s just up in the air.

“Some guys will take the penalty and some won’t take the penalty. You’ve got to use the sideline as your friend. I’m not using the sideline to try and get penalties.”
