I think Mett has come into his upper level of play and the offense has very much improved the passing game. I would like to see the defensive front get more pressure on the opposing quarterback. The only concern I have is the way the entire team let off the gas against Auburn in the second half.

When all the bitching is about the Defense you know the Team is better.

I hoped the O would be improved...but didn't expect it to be this good. That offense, especially Mett, Landry, and Beckham, is fun to watch. When was the last time we could say that...

It's amazing the transformation of the LSU O and the Saints D in one offseason.

Enjoy this football season people. It looks to be a memorable one.

Defense so-so Offense so far has been better than I expected. Finally have a QB! Defense had better step up Sat. or it will be a long day. What has happened to Hillard?

I thought our defense would be better at stopping the run.

People are hating on the secondary but I don't think it's because they are bad necessarily, but more so that we were spoiled with a stupid good secondary for the past 4 years or so.

I mean Reid, PP, Mo, and TM.

I think we are going to find out a lot about the defense tomorrow.

Record wise, yes. Offense- they are better than expected.
Defense- because the D line is not great, they are probably a little below what I expected.

I thought the offense would get to this point but not this quickly. I thought the defense would be slightly better but I still think it will get there.

I think the offense has been mostly beyond my expectations. Except when they shut down and do an imitation of the 2009 & 2012 offense.
The defense gets a mixed "B" grade - it hasn't reached the hoped-for levels I had before the season. Am hoping they will show more tomorrow and smash Murray and UGA. I think they have the potential to be really special.

Actually it is as expected for what I had thought. The D is improving as far as I am concerned.

I am very happy and remember our defense was built to stop teams like Georgia and Bama. I think we see a bunch more blitzes Saturday and Murray gets knocked around. Gurley is going to get a 100 but we have to dictate where he gets it.

On offense Landry and Beckham made such huge strides. Well beyond expectations.

The defensive line has underwhelmed me a bit I was hoping freak and ego would be a bit more menacing and set the tone for the D. That hasn't truly happened yet.

Overall I am pleased but then again preseason is over.

the o and special teams are performing maybe even better than i expected. The d on the other hand is performing worse. I suspected we would see a drop off in the play of our d but not this much.
