A magician never reveals his secrets. Seriously though conflict of interest since we are in an OD together. He's a stud though. He can't win a ranked game to save his life. I think we are 4-3 in the American conference. Have a ton of elite freshmen so we stackes

For whatever reason there are some good guys that no big school go after. I created Fournette in my first year and was locked in a battle with ULM to get him. I got him early and with no problems, but ULM gave the only real push. It seems that once a year I'm in a battle with ULM for a big time recruit.
So my advice for people playing with smaller schools would be to find a guy in your pipeline area that big schools aren't going after and to max out his points to try to get him.
I always go through 6-7 years with lsu though before I start trying to build a small school. So I'm not speaking from experience. I'd imagine recruiting with a small school on this game would be really tough.

lol. I need no help in regards to recruiting for a half decent school (had best class last year in our OD).
Getting in on a 5* with a crappy school is unheard of though. It would have had to been a perfect storm of interests and strengths. (and not being a lvl 1 coach)

Started as level 1 OC. As a RFr he's 87 overall. Also have some legit receivers stacked up. I need some heavy recruiting defense to keep the team even. So far I've gotten some outstanding transfers for the D

Finished season 3 about a week ago.
Played a few very tough games. Auburn actually gave me fits. I was down to them 14 with about 3 minutes to go in the game. A. Jennings struggled BIG time and their offense was pretty successful against me. I thought I had lost this game for sure, but I got a quick TD to bring it to 7, then a 3 and out on D and another TD. I was preparing for an OT battle because they had the ball with about a minute to go. I held them and still had some timeouts. A few passes later I found myself kicking a long field goal to win it.
A. Jennings had a serious SO slump, throwing a lot of INT's and for just over 2,000 yards (compared to 3,300 as a RS Freshman). He was pretty solid running the ball though. I was loaded at RB with Hill, Hillard, and Fournette (created him and he was one of my few signs in my first year of recruiting). Fournette was third on the depth chart, but was a beast. He got hurt for the year in about week 4 though. My defense also struggled a little bit more than usual, but was still solid.
Ended up beating Nebraska in the NC.
Recruiting wasn't AS good as year 2, but I filled some needs and brought in some nice talent.

In year 4 now. Have Jennings as a RS Jr and Fournette as a RS SO. Jennings is having a better year and Fournette is a damn ANIMAL. Fournette is a SO and I have 1 RS Fr and 2 true Fr behind him, so he's getting the load. May be a heisman year with him. I think his rating is 94.
I had to take a break because I'm having some serious freezing issues at the end of my games, when it's showing the highlights, and it really pissed me off. I played 2 games yesterday though without freezing, so hopefully the problems are fixed. Nothing like playing a great game and having it canceled out because it freezes before the save.

Just DOMINATED USC in the NC to finish off my 4th season. It was actually a close game at first. I couldn't score on them and they were driving on me nearly every time, but I held them off a few times. I put up a score late in the first to go up 7-0 and USC drove near mid field again. Instead of punting and continuing to play defense they try a damn fake punt. I crushed them and went ahead 14-0. Guess what happens on the next drive??? Same exact thing. Went for it on 4th down again and got shut down. I ended up with a 21-0 lead off of their stupidity. Never took my foot off the gas and cruised to a victory.
Ended up winning the heisman with Fournette. He had 1977 yards rushing. As a RS SO the dude is an absolute beast.
Going into my 5th year I am LOADED with talent, just not as much depth anymore. I've been able to pull in 15-20 guys in recruiting every year, but I'm lacking in talent on the Oline and LB positions.
I had quite a few guys try to leave early for the draft, but I was able to convince them all to stay. Nearly all of my starters are seniors this season though, so next year I will have a pretty big drop off and my national title run will probably end.
Both Jennings are Rettig are rated 99. Fournette is rated 98 as a RS Jr. Tre'Davious White, Robinson and Brazil make my secondary as solid as can be, all are rated in the mid 90's. Avery Peterson is my go to guy as a WR and is rated 92. All of the above mentioned guys are seniors, except for Fournette who is likely going to leave if I win another heisman with him.

Are you planning on doing any type of 2 QB system? If not, I'd redshirt Rettig if you haven't already.

Second try with my 1-2* OC to 6* HC with multiple national titles. My last time went from South Alabama to South Carolina to Baylor (HC) to Florida State (HC).
After three seasons as OC at Kentucky, I'm now the head coach at Washington State, who went 10-3 before Leach bolted for the SEC. I run an up-tempo, spread triple option. Basically Oregon's offense with at least two running backs and more pistol sets.
First year at Kentucky: 8-5. Losses to Louisville, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Michigan State in bowl game. Knocked off No. 1 Alabama at home.
Second year at Kentucky: 10-3. Losses to Florida, Georgia, Alabama. Louisville dropped off big-time, which gave me an easy win to start the year. Knocked off South Carolina in 4OT. Won Chick-fil-A Bowl over Virginia Tech.
Third year at Kentucky: 13-1. Loss at Boise State in the second game of the season. Georgia and South Carolina both had down years. Rotated off of Bama and onto Ole Miss. Beat Florida 60-56 or something like that. Beat Alabama by 7 in the SEC title game on a touchdown with 17 seconds left. Shutout by the BCS system, who went with undefeated Georgia Tech and one-loss defending champions Ohio State. Won the Heisman and a lot of other awards with an insane JUCO transfer running back I got on Signing Day between 2013 and 2014 seasons.
Got HC offers from Wazzou, Mississippi State (lol nope), Virginia and Kansas (also a nope). Wazzou had the best talent coming back, and the PAC-12 is significantly weak outside of Oregon and Stanford. Shooting for a conference title within two or three years, then onto a 6-star HC job and a couple of national titles.

No, I redshirted both Jennings and Rettig in year 1. They are both RS seniors. I went all Mett in year 1 and then started Jennings as a RS freshman (despite Rivers being rated higher during his time at LSU).
Next year should be interesting. On my roster I have an 81 rated RS Fr pure pocket passer (no speed at all). Then I have a 79 rated RS Fr scrambling QB (85 speed).
I also signed 2 QBs in my last class. Both are rated 78, and are both redshirting. One is a pocket passer and the other was an ATH. He was rated 78 as a RB or a QB. Has a cannon arm and 95 speed. I had another ATH at RB, so I put him at QB. I am thinking if he progresses close to my RS Fr he will be my starter. I should be able to do some fun things with a QB with 95 speed. His accuracy is just really low, but I can work with that.

Im loving your updates but 1 question-What kinda rating did u go with when you creating fournette. Obviously u don't wanna create a cheese player thats 99ovr. What did u put the major categories at like speed, juke, truck, spin?

Started Fournette out at 83. I don't remember exactly all the ratings, but that's what his overall was. I redshirted him in year 1 bc I still had Hill, Hillard and McGee.
His RS freshman year I believe he was rated 88 to start the year. He was my third back, but he was a BEAST. I did formation subs and split carries between him, Hill and Hillard. Got hurt for 10 weeks in week 3 or 4. He was only getting 6-8 carries per game, but his YAC was the best out of the bunch. Came back in the NC game and did pretty good.
RS SO year he was my go to guy and rated 93 to start the year. Like I said in my update, he was a beast. I didn't split carries, but tried to limit him to 18-20 per game to keep him from getting hurt because then I would have been in some trouble. Rushed for +1,900.
RS Jr year (my current year) he is rated 99. Still using the same approach with him, even though my back up is rated 91 now.
I don't think with him being one of the top recruits in the nation having him started off a 83 was too high. If he's good enough to come into a school like LSU and start right away I figure he should be at least that.

Good point. Guess that would be the best way to gauge a player. The best guys(not user created) plot in the lower 80s.

Yeah I love everything about the new recruiting. I know early who I'm going to get, who I'm going to have to fight for, and how good they will be. It seems to me more 4 and 5 star players either stick to their ratings or improve a little, with a few busts thrown in here and there. In the old games it seemed nearly every 5 star and a bunch of 4 stars went down in rating after you finished recruiting them in week 7 or 8. I love the 1 and done recruiting, and the way they have guys rated. It's nothing to sign 5-6 78-81 rated players this year. It's nice.

Just finished season 5. I was LOADED with seniors all over the field. I knew I was going to be tough to beat in my quest for 4 in a row.
I started off the season #1 and never budged. Had a really tough game against UGA to open the season. I really struggled with S Carolina later, only winning 21-17. aTm was the only other team to challenge me during the season though. I played #4 ranked Tennessee for the SEC and a NC birth on the line for both teams. I led 20-10 at half and then shut them down in the 2nd half for a comfortable win.
Here's where this season was funny. San Diego St climbed the rankings early. They were sitting at #2 and undefeated playing Boise for the CC. Behind them was an undefeated frickin ULL who flew up the poles late. SDSU was at least respectable with a rating in the 90's. They go and blow it against Boise, so I'm stuck with ULL in the national championship. I never pulled my starters and demolished them (had to keep the streak of no TDs allowed against them alive lol). Won that game 59-0.
This was the first year I never played a heavy weight in the championship game. Just found it funny bc it was ULL.

I'm rolling right along in year 6. It is very different because since season 2 I have had Anthony Jennings at QB.
My QBs looked like this going into the season and I wasn't sure who I was going to go with. 91 RS So pure pocket passer, 89 RS SO balanced guy (79 speed), and 85 RS Fr scrambler.
I gave the start to the RS Freshman and he's like a modern day Johnny Football. The dude has 96 speed and a cannon arm. All I'm giving up is accuracy. To start the year I switched between him and the pocket passer. Both did well, but the pocket passer was a sitting duck with my very young and not as talented offensive line. I needed to move around too much, so I went with the RS Freshman. I am getting the hang of how to use him as a passer, so things have gotten much better. He is also going to rush for over 1,000 yards, giving me 2 1,000+ yard rushers with him and Fournette in his senior year.
This has probably been my most fun season yet so far. My entire defense last season was seniors, except for 3 starters...That left me with a young defense, to go along with my young offensive line. That has really provided me with some challenges. I played some really good games against Bama, ND, Florida and Auburn so far, but came out with wins in all of them. I only have 3 games remaining in my regular season. Will post more updates when I'm done.
Oh and it looks like Fournette is in good shape for 3 straight heismans..
