Watching the replay again, he was in on every passing situation in the red zone. Mett even targeted him on a slant on the very first possession. I think as long as he continues to get stronger and learns to use his frame better, he will be our red-zone threat receiving threat.

Furthermore, if he can become that middle of the field threat for us; I don't see many teams being able to stop our offense.

Sorry for the random post, giddy about our future and chance for big things! Geaux Tigers

You're not alone in your giddiness. And this is the right place to share this stuff so no need to be sorry either.

good and thank you

I hope I am right when I say we can become as much an offensive juggernaut as we are a defensive one.

Potential is just limitless .. it's surreal.

I thought it was gonna be 6 on that crossing route. I know they are taught to use their hands to catch the ball but I thought he could have used his body there to shield off the defender and make the catch. That slant to Dural was nice too, he just couldn't hold on to it.

Loved seeing Smith out there in obvious passing situations. Almost had that TD catch, but the DB made a nice play. If he would of caught it, it would of be an amazing 1st catch at LSU.

He will get better and better as the season progresses. Very excited for him.

He will be a threat in the redzone a bunch this year. We just need to give him a bunch of touches now so that in big games we can either go to him or have him take some of the focus away from others in the endzone.

Smith is going to be an animal for us

would have been sweet for his first reception to be a TD.
