I would be willing to say Nashville is more obsessed with the Titans and SEC football than Atlanta is with the Falcons.

Well Atlanta also has the Braves, Hawks, NASCAR, Ga Tech and UGA fans, various college football fans (Alabama, etc)... Nashville is moreso all Titans, Preds, and UT sports.

I still think Nashville is the more progressive city, and usually progressive = good American soccer town. Atlanta's latino population is something I've never considered tho.

is New Orleans out of the question for this?

seems like we have a pretty large and constantly growing soccer fan base in the city (or maybe I just think this since I notice it more now)

For MLS? Yes. Really would love to see that city get a NASL or USL team, though.

They do well by NASL standards for the Silverbacks. The potential for it to work is there with the popularity of the youth game in the city and the Hispanic population. Blank wants it for the new metallic spiky rectum stadium they're building for the Falcons.

One potential problem is that that new stadium is going to be a good bit farther away from those populations than Silverbacks Park is.

Nope. NPSL...fourth-tier. NASL and USL are higher.

If it's near the GA dome, then it's very accessible via MARTA
