The luckiest I have ever been though was one morning I saw a huge buck walking beside a creek. I shot him and he rolled down the bank in the creek. When I drug him out he had a 50lb flathead cat fish stuck in his antlers
OK, I'm calling horns on this one. Complete horns.

That was in my younger days growing up in Jackson Parish. I didn't know what seasons were back then. When it got cold enough I started hunting and that normally meant what ever I saw. I killed a pile of ducks jumping them off the creek or pond. We always had blue wing teal come in early to our pond.
What some might call lucky or trick shots were normal. I've killed a pick up truck full of squirrels with a single shot .22.
Yeah the fish in the horns was a BS story that was told to me by a guy I worked with that always had some BS hunting or fishing story.

When he dropped, I looked around to see if anyone saw my amazing shot, but then I realized I was in the middle of the fricking woods.
Reminds me of my first bow kill. Was so pumped up, looked around and the only high five I could get was from the tree, so I took the tree up on the high five.

Morehouse parish
pipeline box stand
Nice 8 point stepped out around dusk dark. I place my rifle out the window to prepare for a shot. Every time I go to get down on the rifle a flock of woodies would fly by with some of them passing through the windows of the stand. I couldn't concentrate on shooting the der because of the wings flapping through the windows of the stand. I never fired a shot at the deer but had 13 woodies by the time it got totally dark. I simply shut the window on the opposite side of the stand from where they were entering. When they hit that closed window it would break their little necks and the ducks were all conveniently piled up near the door.

Killed a squirrel with a rock from about 40 yrds. Had two girls as witnesses that thought I was the biggest a-hole in the world. Like I seriously thought I was gonna put a killer headshot on a small rodent from almost half a football field away.
I once nailed a mockingbird on a power line with a rock, I can now claim I'm more accurate than a slingshot

I nailed two wooden tomato stakes together to make a crude bi-pod rifle prop for my pop up ground blind. (I was lacking in funds department at this time.) I get ready to shoot a big bodied ugly 5 point moving pretty quickly across pipeline at about 200 yards and as I'm pulling the trigger my prop does the splits. Deer falls in its tracks. I get down there to discover I ear holed the damn thing and blew brains out the other side. Luckiest shot I've ever made.
