With drafts approaching, this board seems surpisingly dead, other than the mock draft going on. Does anyone do any fun drafts every year? Last year was the first one I've been part of. We started around 9:00, got a keg, had a huge slip and slide, played some mud football, washers, cooked a big jambalaya, then drafted and made fun of each other's teams. This year, we are going to NO. Got Archie's room at Manning's reserved (free) where we'll have our own area with a big screen TV. Looking forward to it. Anyone else have any festivities planned?

You sound like you would fit in our league. We use the upstairs room at Frosty each year, and request, in advance, that certain bartenders work that day. We're usually there by 11, and drafting by 2. We've had spectators the last couple years, and someone usually cooks out in the parking lot for us. I remember either last year or the year before walking around Frosty in a drunken daze with a good 16oz. porton of pork tenderloin on my pocket knife.

One guy threw up all over the bathroom a couple years ago, and then on his own lap last year. But that's the only vagina in our league.

Renting a cabin over the lake at Chicot Park, friend bringing his old DJ setup. We are having a keg.

Playing beer pong tourney for draft positions. 1v1. winner's bracket get 1-6, loser's bracket get 7-12. Play again in brackets. all players get to pick from a hat for picks 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 based on how they finished in the tourney.

Everyone has an entrance song for their first pick and every pick from rounds 1-8 are announced on the speaker system.

Trophy presentation for last years winner and worst team.

I know a lot of people from LC, Barbe in particular. If you're greek, that'd help. If you don't know me, you know the majority of the people in the league I'm in.

eta: moved to LC in 05.

We bounce around our draft location. This year we are either drafting at a buddy's lakehouse or on a rooftop apartment in Nashville. The loser from the previous year brings the food, and its just a bunch of drunken football madness.

This year we are doing a Draffle. Depending on where you finished last year, you get your name in a drawing a certain amount of times. 1st place gets their name in the drawing 12 times automatically and so on. The twist is that you can purchase raffles for $3 each to add your name to the raffle. Once your name is drawn you get to choose your draft position.

Proceeds go to anything related to the league : draft boards, alcohol, trophy improvements, gold jackets

I also graduated in 2004

We're mostly separated, so we have to do the online draft.

I'm suggesting we get skype going this year to make it better.

I used to work at Brewbacher's and we did a live draft. Pretty good time.

I don't know if I could be in a league that doesn't do a live draft. The live draft is 60% of the fun of FF to me.

FF draft party is like friggin christmas for us. And we have a "SuperFakeBowl" party on the last game of the year as well to see who wins and all that.
