Headed to Breckenridge next Wednesday for a week and we are going white water rafting with the kids. I would be nice to have for the trip, but I don't have a need for it any other time so I'm not going to buy one...

I have a decent camera that I use a lot, I know that would not use a GoPro enough to justify buying it. If someone felt comfortably letting me borrow one fine, if not fine, just thought I would ask...

if you have an iPad the kids can make the movie on the way home on trip its so easy they would have a blast.
You will enjoy it. The new model you can use wifi or bluetooth to and iPad. I was at a downhill mtn bike race and this dude was watching his kid run the course live from the bottom of the slope cool as hell. The course marshalls were going to use this now to watch parts of the course that normally needed a marshall.

I rafted the cache la poudre in june.
They offered go pro rentals for about $60, but even though we did 3,4,and 4+ rapids, they were spread out enough between 2's and 3's that it wasn't necessary to film the whole trip.
They took stills of the larger rapids and a video of pineview falls, which we beastmoded at the peak water level.
if you're doing 2's and 3's with kiddos it's a lot more kinda bouncing down the river than big splashes and excitement.
eta: not sure from title change but it looks like you were trying to borrow one, which would be a good idea as it wouldn't be worth buying or renting just for the one trip, imo.

We will have a 7 and 9 year old boys and will be doing Brown Canyon. It is supposed to be 3+ depending on flow rates. I knew I wouldn't be able to bring my good camera on this ride and wanted to be able to film the kids; Motorboat and the OB came through...
