Matt Flynn has the Jake Delhomme factor. He's no hall of famer but he's a winner.

Only?? He sat the bench his first few years, gets no real shot with the saints, heads to Carolina and elevates them to a contender AND takes them to the Super bowl.

That's a winner to me Coach Haslett

couldn't we just put that under the category of a "flash in the pan" moment?

Jbeam, the ever present Matt Flynn hater. Matt must have done something terrible to you and your family at some point.

To be considered a "flash in the pan" Flynn would have to get another shot and fall on his face, or never play again. All he's done when he has played in the regular season is dominate. but I'm sure if I despised Flynn as much as you do I would have no choice but to write off his success as a "flash in the pan" as well.

Matt Flynn is a good QB. He is smart and knows how to read a defense. You don't have to have the strongest arm in the NFL, but you will not survive without the brains. There are other QB's that are the best without having the strongest arms. Peyton Manning doesn't have the strongest arm ever, but he is strong enough with the best mind to ever play the position
