Just finished The Wire on HBO Go.
...was gonna go with The Sopranos next.
I noticed Oz. Is it worth watching?

I'd watch the Sopranos first if you've never seen it before.
But yes, Oz is worth watching.

I own it. It's great for the first 4 seasons and then it drops off, but it's still good through the the final season.

Too much green screen...oh the HBO show. Loved Adebesi and Schlindler. Whenever a lead dies, they do a great job of replacing them with another star. Great show except when they had stupid side stories (spoiler)

It's a show I gave up on about halfway thru it's run. Used to love it, but it just got too dark and far fetched.

Dude, please watch The Sopranos if you haven't seen that yet 
As far as Oz, the first 2 seasons were good and then it got too ridiculous. If you want to have dudes making out forced in your face every week, then go for it.
Have you seen Deadwood? They fricked up and didn't let it go as long as they needed, but you have 4 years of phenomenal TV.

watch sopranos first b/c it's great. Oz is as well. wasn't in love with the ending but it doesn't ruin everything leading up to it. Oz moves pretty quick too so it's an easy watch.

Oz is HBO's first original drama and it's pretty outstanding. They still hadn't figured out a few of the rules of the form yet, so it's a bit uneven and a tad dated. The final season is pretty awful, so just stop after Season 4.
But Season 1 is pretty f'n brilliant.

I agree with the Shogun of Harlem. Deadwood is an incredible series. I think it has some of the greatest characters in TV history. HBO should have never let it end that early, but HBO did that with a few series. I still mourn for Rome. Carnivale should have kept on going, too.
Back on point: Oz is pretty good. I'd give Deadwood a shot first, though.

Oz is decent enough but when marathoning the show it becomes a bit ridiculous.
About the 37th time inmates are wandering alone with a free run of the place,I tend to get sick of the show.
