Does this game really not release until June of next year? Amazon just updated my ship date and it's June 2014. I don't know why I thought I remembered them saying the game was completed already. Must have confused it with another?

I believe is 2Q 2014. I think I saw that somewhere. But it's 2014 for sure

Well, I was looking forward to this game, but if it comes out at the same time/after Halo and Titanfall, I can almost guarantee I won't play it

It's nothing against the game, I'm just not such a huge gamer that I'll play three games that seem so similar. I was hoping Destiny would hold me over till Halo/Titanfall

I don't think Destiny is going to be much like the other two outside of being a shooter.

Destiny looked like a recreation of Halo to me personally, but I could be way off(in terms of characters, design, etc)

I believe that Destiny is supposed to be more of a persistent open world, which moves it closer to an MMO.
It's not like Halo and Titanfall that look to be scifi versions of COD/BF

It will be an FPS. One that has a persistent world and looks to have an interesting backdrop, but I might be suffering from FPS fatigue by the time it rolls around.

My impressions of Destiny have it as a less cartoon-y and over the top version of Borderlands. Halo is...well, Halo, and Titanfall appears to be a twitchy COD style shooter with mechs.
They are all FPS's but I wouldn't call any of them "arcade shooters." That phrase makes me think of something like Area 51 (or maybe even R-Type), games you would see in an arcade.

I think Titanfall is going to surprise a lot of you ... it was the only game that made me really want a new gen.
FWIW Destiny and HALO/Titanfall are different type of games and should not be grouped together as such.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way about games
I'm putting together a Battlefield 4 to Titanfall to Destiny plan in place. Might sprinkle in an NBA 2k14 when I'm not wanting to shoot a gun.
