I am a Hornets...errrrr..Pelicans fan but I wouldn't exactly call the Spurs a "rival". That would be like Vanderbilt's football team calling Florida a rival. I mean sorry but it is not even close to a rivalry.

OP is one of those people who wants to proclaim himself to be some greater more loyal fan based on who other people root for in a game that has nothing to do with the local team.

Seriously...these people aggravate the shite out of me just as much as bangwagoners who act like they've always been the biggest fans ever.

I pulled for the Buccaneers in their Super Bowl against the Raiders and for the Panthers in their Super Bowl. I guess I'm a terrible Saints fan.

Even though I was pulling for the Spurs, I cannot stand Manu. Wish he would have absolutely blown like that against us once in a while. Same goes to Jason Terry.

So who among us is a true pels fan and will be rooting for a divisional rival that ended our best playoff run to win a fricking title?

I have no idea whether c on z is a true Heat fan or just a star fricker. However, I do know that about 90% of the "Heat fans" I actually talk to in real life just jumped on the wagon three years ago. They're fricking insufferable when they talk about "we" . . . "our" . . . etc.

Good news? I made $1000 bet in a local bar with two young douche bag LeBron cocksmokers that the series would go to 7 games (they claimed it wouldn't go past five; asked if I even watched the NBA, etc). Don't know if I'll actually collect, but they're never going to hear the end of it.

He's not a frontrunner, though. Just a lifelong fan of every winning team…
