my Dad bought a 21' bay boat for 4 grand, a Pro Master with a 125 Merc. Yeah i know, not the greatest boat/motor, but it does run well.
it needs a little TLC, so here are the questions:
1) the front deck has some wear on the edge where you step up. what kind of angle wood/metal should i put there and will there be a problem screwing into fiberglass.
2) how can i drain the gas from the tank? i want to start with fresh gas, we did run it several months ago with non-ethanol but not taking any chances.

Aluminum with aluminum rivets.
Siphon the gas out, then add fuel stabilizer if you're still worried.

Take the end off at the motor & use the bulb to pump it out or siphon it out
