I have a hard enough time doing it with rock bands. DJs would be impossible.

This is why i enjoy the essential mix so much. Most of whom play on that show are top shelf beat of the best IMO.

its tough for sure, its been a good filler with all the new up comers for all the shitty hiphop now days

Soundcloud is great for following your favorite artists because many times they post stuff there before releasing it.

As far as apps, my favorite is Digitally Imported Radio. There's a DI Radio app that has what seems like a thousand EDM genres. If you can't find one for your mood/preference there, then you're just not trying.
