wow what a retarded comment. They aren't treating the SEC championship game like a midweek game. These threads are getting awesome.

i think the poster is correct as it relates to pitching. no way you're gonna burn a wk-end pitcher that you plan on NEEDING thru the world series just to pump a few xtra bucks in the sec coffers. these teams are national seeds in the big party. tomorrow is a pride game and a chance for a trophy and bragging rights; nothing more.

The SEC tournament-- is the best dress rehearsal in the nation for the CWS.

Those starters are out because of injuries. As for the pitching - this is how tournaments work. We lost a game and so did Vandy. These things happen in the CWS as well.

Jacoby and possibly even Laird would be playing if this was the CWS. And we would not use our pitching this way in Omaha either. The SECT and CWS are not created equal.

No $hit Sherlock. Obviously, you want to win the CWS more, but teams tend to use some different pitchers when they lose a game in a tournament.

It's been well documented that Jacoby is only out as a precaution. Laird was a speculation which is why, in the English language, we have the word "possibly."

My point about the SECT and CWS was made because you cant generalize tournaments like you did. The original statement was pertaining to this game in this situation where neither team has to have this win.

I hope the committee realizes how dumb the RPI is right now and it needs fixing.

they won the SEC by 3.5 games, that is no small margin, plus the RPI factor
Won't the winner of the SEC be determined by who wins the SEC tournament?

Fitt has sources that say RPI is being heavily considered in the determinations, and the conference tourney's not so much.

no

vandy won the SEC because they had the best regular season record.

winner of the SEC tourney is that and only that. The winner of the SEC Tourney. Nothing more, nothing less.

One could possibly make the argument that since LSU and Vandy each won their division, that this could be for all the marbles. In reality its not though.
