Hate for LSU to have to beat the same team twice (in two separate series) to win the NC....for some reason I have a phobia about that.

Then don't watch baseball. The championship series, by definition, makes you beat the same team twice.

If they meet in Hoover, it will be without the best pitchers from either team starting.

How many times are you going to edit? That make 3?

You should just delete at this point. Dumb question anyway, just chalk it up bud!

Could happen, but it depends on whether Vandy and LSU end up in the same bracket in Omaha (assuming, of course, that both make it to the SEC title game and Omaha).

It happened in 1997 I think with LSU - Bama. They played 3 regular season games, 1 SEC Championship Game and in the National Championship Game.

If it ends up LSU-Vandy in the National Championship game, even though they are both in the SEC, it is possible that it would be the first time they have played each other in 2013 (if one of those two teams don't make the SEC Championship game).

In 2011 it happened with South Carolina and Florida.

The odds are astronomical that the top two teams in the SEC meet in the NC. Could it happen? Yes. Will it? I put the percentage at less than 5%.

And the semi-final of the SEC tournament.

Last weekend of regular season: Bama 2-1 (LSU only needed one win to win the SEC Title outright)

Conference Tourny: 1-1 (Bama won the finals, but had to play more games because LSU made the finals unbeaten, and their was simply a one game final)

CWS Final: LSU

Just my opinion but I think the NCAA will do anything if can to avoid an all SEC final in Omaha - their thinking being the country is tired of the SEC winning everything...even though we have the best athletics.

Not a great deal they can do about it. A slanted seeding will be obvious. SEC teams are going to win regionals and super regionals. Expect more than one SEC team in omaha.
