Ordered take out at Katie's in mid-city Nola last night. Wasn't that impressed

Ordered the Atchafalaya Pizza. It had way too much cheese and barely any marinara. Only ate 2 slices and threw away the rest.
Ole lady liked her veggie muffuletta though.
I'll definitely give it another chance as I've heard nothing but great things about it and my fiancée likes the place.. I'll probably try out their all you can eat grilled or fried catfish night on Tuesday.
Plus I loved the ambience and decor of the place. Just hope to like the food better next time.

I had the Fried Green Tomato and Shrimp Remoulade poboy last time I went and it was great. But I love fried green tomatoes.

It was only a 1.5 mile drive home. Again I'll definitely try it out again. It wasn't cold or anything.

Forget the pizza. Get a crawfish biegnet, seafood biegnet, crabcakes, garlic feta fries, fried green tomato/remoulade poboy, oyster bacon poboy, or couchon delait sandwich..... Or any special they may have.

I've never tried takeout there. I've mostly just gone for lunch, and I've enjoyed it. Not huate cuisine or anything, but a good neighborhood restaurant. I like the folks there. It's convenient

Doesn't mean you can't make any judgments on take out. Just means you need a little more investigating.

I'm not overwhelmed by the place. The pizza is definitely not in my top 10...or top 20.
