I love the show. The cast is great. I can't believe that is on NBC.

Great show. Is it wrong to be hungry and desire to eat that meal from the show last night, despite knowing what kind of meat was used to make it?

Too lazy to google/ research this...haven't seen the show, but it is based on anything Thomas Harris has written or is it just a flat-out spin off using some characters from the books?

From what my friend tells me it is loosely based on the book series.

It's based on the characters in Red Dragon. Every episode has used bits of dialog and imagery from that book, though they've often been used out of context and sometimes involved different characters. I read somewhere they don't have the rights to SOTL, which would explain the familiar but different trainee they invented. I think it's great they did that. Also, Lecter is feeding a wider variety of people, and his pre-capture relationship with Crawford and Graham is another invention of the series. I think it's working great.

The cat and mouse game with Graham and Hannibal just started and it's going to be incredible. I think Will 'got' the cannibal part of the Ripper when Hannibal started talking about turning anatomy into food. I don't think he connected Hannibal completely but from the way he was watching him in the ambulance and with how he acted at Hannibal's I have to think his spidey senses are tingling. In the movie Red Dragon, Graham tells Hannibal that he suspected something was off with him before he found the recipe book.

Most definitely.

SPOILER

They already used up the final clue that caused Graham to realize Lecter was the killer, and the FBI trainee lost her life over it. Graham OTOH just got gutted for his trouble.

i don't know if this online petition asking nbc not to cancel the show will actually accomplish anything, but i guess it's worth a shot.

This show is much better done than most of the garbage on TV that crush the ratings (CBS, I'm looking at you). It's a damn shame most of america wants mindless, bubble gum style television instead of something that's actually engaging

Just watched the first episode on demand last night.

Always loved Red Dragon (book and movie), so it's pretty cool to see these new takes on Graham, Cawford, Lecter, and even Lowndes with the Tattler

I really like the show. My wife likes it too, but has trouble with the gore.

I'm actually a bit shocked on the amount they have shown on network TV.
