Not when you live in a nice neighborhood. Don't think that I am having blind faith in my neighbors being my line of defense. I don't see a need for one. That's the joy of living in a safe environment. For us we've never felt the need for "home defense". The threat hasnt presented itself in our town in the 10 years we've lived there. The police report is about as boring as owners manual for a washing machine.

I am by no means an anti handgun guy. If someone has a need for one they should have one. I've worked in an inner city school in downtown Birmingham for 17 years and have plenty of aquaintances that have a legitimate need for a handgun. I just have no use for one other than maybe for when I'm in the woods walk up on something. I consider where I live, then I look at the odds of my house getting invaded versus the odds of one of my 9 or 6 year old boys putting their hands on my pistol (now or down the road). Three things fascinate any young red blooded American male. Fast cars, fast women and guns. Save all the "keep your guns locked up" spill. When I was a kid I knew exaclty where my old man kept his 38. It wasnt that he was careless its that I was fascinated with a pistol and was resourcefull in when I chose to put my hands on it and not let my old man know. In this country what happens at a higher rate of occurance, home invasions or accidental firearm deaths involving a minor?

Are you familiar with Sutton's Law?

depends on the neighborhood doesn't it.

Well according to Sutton's law I guess I need earth quake insurance also. In fact the subject is very relevant to insurance. Is it mathematically possible for me to get toe nail cancer? Yeah. Should I spend the money on insurance for the 1 in 10,000,000,000 chance that I get it? No. If statistics show me that a home invasion is unheard of in my community consider this, a one time payment of $350 (about the cost of a decent handgun) at the front end of a 30 year mortgage at a 3% rate will save you almost $529.00 in interest on the life of the loan. That sounds like a smarter investment to me because if I can't feel safe in a community I'm not going to live there.

How many homes have a hand gun but no fire extinguisher? Ask Sutton about those averages.

I don't like it. Will upgrade soon. Slide is stiff and she won't keep one chambered. Finicky with hollow point ammo. Not accurate, even considering its a pocket 380.

Check out Kahr Arms. They make the best 380 on the market in my opinion.

I think you may have misunderstood Suttons law.

In short Willie Sutton robbed a banks and when asked why he replied "that is where the money is at"

If you live in an affluent area guess what, that is in fact where the money is.

So you don't have health insurance or you have a version that does not cover cancer?

So over the course of 30 years the safety of your family is worth less than $179? That is only 6 dollars a year rounded up.
