Jazzfest and transportation

My wife and I are going for the weekend. We'll take a cab to Jazzfest in the morning. I was wondering if there are cabs available in the evening, or would one need to take the shuttle back to Canal?

they will have cabbies waiting to scoop people up outside the fairgrounds.

I would arrange for your original cab driver to pick you up. Get his personal cell phone #. If his shift is over by then ask for one of his coworkers info.

agreed. i heard that the cab situation was pretty rough sunday night in the rain.
the lines are always pretty long but word was not a lot of cabs coming to the pickup stand.

Don't make the mistake of walking elsewhere thinking you'll find a cab without waiting in line. It worked for me Friday, but Sunday was a nightmare. I was trying to grab a cab in the rain for what seemed like an hour.
