So he can't create his own shot, unless it's a pull-up wide open look. 3/4 of his attempts have come when he's set and waiting for the ball.

Also gets to the rack fairly easily. Does all the dirty/gritty work. Hustle rebounds on offense. I think you are undervaluing that kind of stuff in the NBA. Oladipo makes his presence felt.

People love smooth shooters. I tend to like the emotional guy who is willing to do the dirty work and play hard, tough defense. It's all preference at this point. After Noel, it's almost a toss up.

I guess since you posted two bad shooting numbers on a guy that shot 60% from the field and 44% from 3 means you presented facts that he will be terrible on offense?

At least I can admit that Burke has the looks to be solid. I only question his fit in the team. You are just trolling on how bad you think Oladipo will be.

again..this is the same crap everyone said about MKG in last years draft..and he was absolutely awful as a starter and showed zero offensive growth.

Can you give me an example of the last great college SG/SF defending hustle player that had questionable offensive game that went in the top 5 and made a huge impact???

Heck, I'll expand that to the top 10.

You don't draft defense that early. The guys like Thabo Safolosha, Tony Allen, Bruce Bowen, Gerald Wallace come cheap in the draft and via free agency.

And I don't count Iguudala, he was heralded for his offensive game moreso than defense coming out of Arizona--ball handling and assists.

I remember reading reports that most of his points in college were from put backs and fast breaks. Oh and also that he had no outside shot...

All I'm getting at is the upside is there for Oladipo. His improvements are shown from year to year. I'm saying he has that potential to be an effective offensive player while making a huge impact defensively by being able to guard 3 positions in the NBA with the exception of a couple of 3s.

I think Oladipo will be good. I just don't think he's a good shooter

Oh and Dwayne Wade was a guy that they said couldn't shoot outside, needed to work on his jumper and needed improved ball handling but his defense was great and was athletic.

All I'm saying is its not like he has an ugly looking shot. Mechanics are good. Shooting is something he can improve off the court. He is a gym rat.

It's not like his arch is scrape the ceiling Aminu arch..

Averaging around 1.5 pts per shot. Better than others who take 20 shots and score 20.

Do you still think we are at 0-2% to draft Burke?

What % do you to give Dipo?

When did I give a percentage on the possibility of drafting him?

saw neither get much better from what they are now...

meaning Oladipo proves to be an average to below average shooter. Decent defender, high energy bench player

and Burke stays a dynamic scorer and very good passer, that lacks on defense

who would you rather have?

dont know, I like Oladipo but he has a lot of improving to do to be what we think he can be. Burke on the other hand, is more plug and play. I'm not sure how much a team like the Hornets can gamble on a guy like Oladipo.

Now if we fall down the lottery, I wouldnt be as concerned.
