How does one achieve this "Top Replies" status?

I am guessing that's what the thumbs up button was intended for so we could have a feature sort of like Reddit but the way things get abused here it's never been fully implemented. Looks like Chicken or the admin are the ones that chose those top replies.

Looks like they just take either the most relevant replies that tie the story together or the most liked...if you look at the Ye-Ye fark thread, the top reply is the Courtney Love fark

Would be cool if they also had a "Jump to post in topic" on the Top Reply post so you wouldn't have to wade through the thread to get to that post/responses to that post.

It allows the admins to take a stand out post and apply it to the top. I guess initially it was to be posts with the most likes, but I believe it is chosen by the admins.
